Title 5.11 Incomplete Examinations

Ample time shall be allowed to complete the entire examination if two or more parts (such as T/E and Written tests) are involved. A Written test (multiple-choice, true-false, aptitude) or matching test must always be completed in one sitting.

If an applicant completes one portion, such as Written, and indicates that he/she will return to complete the examination and does not, the Personnel/Human Resource(s) Office shall attempt to ascertain the reason. If the applicant states that he/she does not intend to complete the examination, the Personnel/Human Resource(s) Office shall attach this information to the examination, and issue a failing score of 00.00 INCOMPLETE. The register information shall indicate the portion(s) not taken, as well as scores on other portions.

ILLNESS
An applicant who becomes ill before the examination begins will be rescheduled.

An applicant who becomes ill during an examination and is unable to finish, will earn a failing score of 00.00 INCOMPLETE. The applicant shall wait the specified interval before rewriting.

An applicant who earns a low or failing score on an examination, and then states that he/she is not feeling well at the time of examination, shall wait the specified interval before rewriting. An exception to this procedure must be discussed with the Director.

The monitor shall attach a statement to the examination explaining the cause for the incomplete examination. The examination, register information, System Answer Sheet, and Notice of Examination Score shall be marked as a failing score of INCOMPLETE.
