Job Description
The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to the Director, Assistant Director, and Program Coordinator of the Stevenson Center for Community and Economic Development. This position also facilitates the functioning of an interdisciplinary student program and community service organization by creating and maintaining informational and budget files for multiple accounts; working directly with the Assistant Director in assuring the AmeriCorps program is operating smoothly; helping track the admissions process and with onboarding incoming students; answering inquiries from potential students; communicating with faculty, students, and our community partners; and working with other offices on campus.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
High school graduation or equivalent
Two years of work experience comparable to the third level of this series. This work includes performing a wide variety of office support tasks, which require the use of judgment and initiative and the ability to operate computer systems, using word processing, database, and software packages. Knowledge of the organization, programs, practices, and procedures of a department/unit is central to the performance of the duties.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to work with all parties and stakeholders, internal and external, on and off-campus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including thorough knowledge of spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence and paragraph structure
Ability to operate standard office equipment and software (e.g., Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, Web Publishing, Datatel, etc.).
High attention to detail and ability to quickly and accurately review the work of others
Thorough knowledge of repetitive office practices and procedures
Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills; ability to manage projects with multiple moving pieces
Experience with billing, managing accounts, and handling finances
Knowledge of local community and/or experiences working with non-profit and community development organizations
Salary
$18.50 - $19.15 per hour
