Job Description
This position administrates and strategically plans the entertainment functions for the President and Board of Trustees and operates a university-wide events consulting service.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration, Student Affairs, or a closely related field.
2. Five (5) years of full time (or part-time equivalent) professional work experience in Events Planning, Conference Management, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or a closely related field to the position.
3. Valid driver's license.
4. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, speaking and writing skills
5. Ability to interact directly and professionally with President, Trustees, donors, politicians, etc.
6. Ability to interact professionally with diverse University constituencies
7. As a representative of the University, needs maturity, diplomacy, integrity
8. Ability to motivate and direct others
9. Working knowledge of budgeting, marketing, public relations, and fundraising philosophies and techniques
10. Strategic event administration planning and production skills
Preferred Qualifications
Broad understanding of the Illinois State University and the Bloomington-Normal communities as well as the various university constituencies that interact with university leadership; previous large-scale event planning experience; ability to pay strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
Salary
$90,000-$110,000/year, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.
