    Responsible for the general internal office human resource function for the University System employees.
  - Classification, Examination and Compensation
    Develops, revises, and performs routine administration of the classification and corresponding examination system.

Job Description

Human Resource Assistant - Housing and Dining Services

Eastern Illinois University’s Housing and Dining Services has an opening for a Human Resource Assistant. This position manages the student hiring process for Dining, and supports scheduling, payroll, training, and compliance activities in regard to student employment.

Duties may include:

Posting student employment opportunities.
The review and screening of student employment applications.
Conducting interviews.
Ensure that new student employees complete all paperwork and required trainings.
Manages the Infinitime time entry system.
Maintains confidential student employee files/records.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants must meet the following requirements:

Be an Illinois resident.
A high school graduate or equivalent.
Any combination totaling one year from the following:
One (1) year of work experience performing basic human resource/payroll or general office/clerical duties.
30 semester hours of college course work that includes 6 semester hours in human resource administration, business administration, or a closely related field.

Salary

Wage: $17-$18/hr
