Job Description

The Center for Intensive Behavioral Supports (CIBS) is seeking a skilled Content Development Specialist to create educational training materials to reduce the use of restraint and time-out (RTO) procedures in educational settings. The ideal candidate has expertise in writing and editing content, familiarity with producing online content, understanding of basic adult learning principles, and working knowledge of Illinois Restraint and Time-out legislation as it applies to Illinois schools.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree or advanced certification in behavior management or related field.
Experience in content development, with a focus on behavior management or related areas.
Excellent writing and editing skills.


Salary

$35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Comments Extra Help employees may only work up to 28 hours per week for all University employment. Employees are only paid for hours worked and do not qualify for most benefits including health insurance and retirement, with Illinois State University. However, Extra Help employees are eligible to participate in the University’s supplemental retirement savings plans (403b). Applicable retirement information is provided at the time of hire. There is no guarantee that working as Extra Help will lead to or secure permanent employment. In addition, extra help employees may only work up to 900 hours total during their employment.
