Job Description
This is a 9-month position, working from August 16 to May 15 each academic year.
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment, and in fabricating metal parts and tools.
The individual must set work priorities and determine methods of completing job tasks.
There are guidelines, policies and procedures, and departmental and state standards, which must be adhered to in performing the assigned responsibilities. Position assignments are performed under minimum supervision. This position’s assigned responsibilities are determined by Director of Residential Dining. Directly supervises 1 to 4 employees in the maintenance area. Supervisory responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the department’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Two (2) years (24 months) of work experience in mechanical repair of equipment to be serviced.
3. Certificate of training by the manufacturer of the equipment to be repaired, if applicable.
Salary
$28.60 - $29.23/hour
